Vanity Fair July 2003 is a digital talk show dedicated to exploring and analyzing the cover of well, you guessed it - the July 2003 issue of Vanity Fair. This cover managed to bring together nine of the reigning teen idols of the day: Amanda Bynes, the Olsen Twins, Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, Raven Symone, Alexis Bledel, Evan Rachel Wood, and Mandy Moore. The spectacle of assembling these teen queens and triple threats to be in one shoot for one cover has made this cover stand out in the memories of millennials everywhere. One mention of the date of this cover can elicit a response of “OHH is that the one with all the girls on it?” from anyone who came of age during the early aughts. Realizing how prevalent this cover was as a pinnacle of girlhood, fame, fashion and aspiration made creators Julia and Anna think: is this worth a closer look? Thus, a chat show dedicated to this cover - niche on the surface but broad in its themes - was born.
Lightweights (2015) is a scripted web series about the lives of two best friends as they navigate college and all the misadventures that come with it.
Co-starring/co-created by Julia Boyd and Anna Weis.
